Walthamstow Osteopathy and Natural Health Centre was set up in 2000 by Stephen Moore and Iain Chapman. Initially the practice was based in a dental centre on Walthamstow High Street but in 2002 with a growing patient list and the need for bigger premises we moved to 72 St. Mary Rd.
Older residents of E17 may remember no.72 as a brewery, music shop and most recently as a hairdressers. However, the building had fallen into a state of disrepair and we began building work to create a two room practice space.
Having worked through the hottest summer in decades we opened our doors to our patients in August 2003 with a restored shop front, original quarry tiling and rooms available to treat patients.
Our plan was to create a three room practice with space to offer a greater variety of therapies and treatments, so in November 2009 we began the second phase of building work and by February 2010 work was completed.
We have tried to balance a sympathetic restoration project with a need for an efficient and welcoming 21st century medical practice, offering patients the best possible environment and treatment space.
We hope you find visiting our practice not only effective in terms of treatment but a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
